THE CHALLENGE
A high-profile healthcare organization needed to install an enterprise-wide Project Management Solution. Although the company had an internal IT staff, the department was structured around separate teams that worked on different projects.

THE SOLUTION
Through our advanced search and vetting process, we quickly found the senior IT professional whose experience, strengths and drive represented an ideal match with our client’s goals and organizational culture.
First, our consultant introduced the concept of a Project Management Office that imparted a uniform approach to project management, monitored costs and tracked schedules. Through rigorous observation and analysis, he developed the blueprint for building a uniform project management platform tailored for this client.
He then constructed a project dashboard whereby management could quickly measure the health of any project. The dashboard provided a snapshot of every project, and included the key indicators common to each – budget, timeframe, vendor, requisite team skills, scope specifics, etc. This allowed our client to readily identify where and why a project is off target, and make the necessary adjustments to restore headway.
Finally, our consultant engaged all stakeholders around this uniform approach, and provided group and team-level consultation and support as needed.
THE IMPACT
Because a uniform framework for program and project management was adopted throughout the organization, our client could now roll out this initiative enterprise-wide.
In addition, the established standard metrics that would apply to all projects, regardless of size and scope, meant that the client could now leverage aggregate reporting and decision-making capability to realize significant cost savings.
