About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help build and improve our clients data privacy and PII management capabilities. This person will work closely with Data Engineering, Data Platform, Legal, and application/data owners to identify sensitive data, establish reliable data lineage, and implement scalable processes for data redaction and deletion across the data warehouse.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is comfortable working directly with large-scale data environments and building production-quality data solutions. The ideal candidate understands both the technical challenges of managing data at scale and the operational requirements around privacy, auditability, and data governance.
What we need
PII redaction in the data warehouse 
Build a repeatable, low-maintenance process for redacting personal data from our warehouse when a user requests deletion. Redaction must be irreversible and must preserve records needed for financial reporting and aggregate metrics (we redact PII within records rather than deleting rows.

Must Haves:

• 7+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data warehouses.

• Strong Python or similar programming experience.

• Experience designing and maintaining production data pipelines and data workflows.

• Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably GCP and BigQuery.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, data lineage, and dependencies between datasets.

• Experience working with PII, sensitive data, data governance, privacy, compliance, or data lifecycle management is highly valuable.

• Experience designing systems for data deletion, redaction, retention, or anonymization is a strong plus.
