Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare FHIR Integration Specialist to support healthcare data interoperability initiatives. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining FHIR-based APIs and integrations to ensure seamless data exchange across healthcare systems in compliance with federal interoperability mandates.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop HL7 FHIR-based APIs and integration solutions.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to map, transform, and exchange healthcare data securely.
Ensure FHIR interfaces are developed in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS Interoperability Rule, ONC Cures Act).
Troubleshoot integration issues and support ongoing FHIR implementations.
Document integration workflows, data mapping, and technical specifications.

Required Skills:

Strong experience with HL7 FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources).
Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs.
Understanding of healthcare data formats (HL7 v2, CDA, CCD, X12).
Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
Experience working with healthcare systems, EHRs/EMRs, or health information exchanges (HIEs).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SMART on FHIR and OAuth2.
Prior work with payer organizations or healthcare providers.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field.
