Android Developer

We’re hiring two experienced Android developers to support a key digital product team focused on building and enhancing a high-traffic, customer-facing mobile application in the retail space. The team is responsible for the end-to-end Android mobile shopping experience and is looking for engineers who can write clean, efficient code and deliver reliable, scalable features.

These are fully remote roles offering the opportunity to contribute to a widely used Android app with a significant user base.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain native Android features using Kotlin and related technologies

• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences

• Write clean, modular, and testable code that supports scalability and long-term maintenance

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Debug, optimize, and monitor application performance and stability

• Stay current with Android development trends and best practices

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of professional experience developing Android applications

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, with knowledge of Java as a plus

• Solid experience with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture

• Comfortable integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON

• Experience with Android Studio, Git, and CI/CD tools for mobile delivery

• Understanding of Material Design Guidelines and modern mobile UX principles

• Proven ability to work in Agile environments and contribute in remote team settings

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience building mobile apps in the retail, e-commerce, or B2C space

• Familiarity with performance monitoring and crash reporting tools (e.g., Firebase, Crashlytics)

• Knowledge of Android accessibility standards and best practices

• Exposure to writing unit tests and using test automation frameworks for Android
