Workday Integrations Technical Writer
Must Have:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Communication, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a software development or enterprise IT environment.
- Direct experience documenting Workday integrations is a strong requirement.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand code, scripts, and data formats like XML, XSLT, JSON, and WSDL.
- A portfolio that includes examples of API documentation, data mapping documents, or other highly technical materials is required.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Workday's integration framework, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday Studio.
- Familiarity with web services technologies (REST, SOAP) and API testing tools like Postman.
- Proficiency with documentation authoring tools such as Confluence, ReadMe, Swagger/OpenAPI, or MadCap Flare.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, is a significant plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent ability to communicate with highly technical developers and translate their work for various audiences.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for deconstructing complex processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to organizing information.
